01 / The recommendation
Muah AI or Talkie AI for your own character?
Muah AI is our recommendation for adults who want to discover a character and then actively refine their own companion experience. Direct personality and appearance instructions, available AI and summary controls, slots, creative media tools, and data backups provide a practical route from a starting idea to an ongoing character.
Talkie AI's official creator guide describes community characters, quick and advanced creation, appearance and voice customization, and visual and audio interaction. Consider it if exploring and creating characters within that community is a major part of the experience you want. Source: Talkie's official creator guide.

03 / Make the starting point yours
Adapting a Muah community character
A character preview gives you an impression, but the instructions determine much of the conversation's direction. In Muah, explore community characters, read a card's details, and decide what you want to preserve before importing it. A useful starting character should match your idea for behavior as well as appearance.
If you already have a companion you want to keep, switch to another available slot first. Importing or choosing a character in the current slot changes its configuration; it does not automatically provide an unrelated fresh conversation. The character setup guide explains the distinction.
After importing, check AI Name, Core Prompt, and Look-Like. Keep the backstory and traits you like, then revise the reply format and relationship context to suit your preference. Test a short fictional scene before making several other changes. This lets you build on another creator's starting idea while understanding the instructions behind your own experience.
Look beyond the preview
Ask for a short conversation in the style you want. If the character's tone fits, keep it and adjust only the details that need work. A striking image does not prove that the writing style will suit you.
04 / Keep useful changes
Why Muah fits ongoing character experiments
Character refinement is easier when you know which control addresses the problem. Use Core Prompt for conversational behavior, Look-Like for visual description, and the relevant voice settings for generated audio. Available core and temperature settings can change reply style, but evaluate them with a repeatable scene.
For continuity, eligible accounts can work with available System Summary controls. Keep the most useful story facts concise and correct a mistaken detail when necessary. Summaries are selective and beta compaction is not a promise of perfect recall. The memory guide shows what these tools actually do.
For creative output, request a photo from the scene, inspect it in Gallery, and explore the available video or music tools. A separate slot lets you develop a new fictional premise without replacing an established companion's configuration. Slot unlocks and feature access depend on the account.
Save available local slot data before substantial changes, and use an HTML or image chat export when you want a reading copy. Muah's backup instructions distinguish these actions from Cloud synchronization. That combination of character direction and data management is our reason to recommend Muah for users who enjoy ongoing experiments.
05 / Common questions
Muah AI vs Talkie AI questions
Does Muah AI have community characters?
Yes. Community cards provide starting configurations that you can inspect and adapt in the chatroom.
Why recommend Muah for customization?
Our recommendation rests on its direct character prompts, available AI and summary controls, separate slots, and documented data tools.
Will selecting a new character keep the old story separate?
Use another available slot first if you want a separate context. Selecting a new character in the current slot changes its configuration rather than automatically creating an independent conversation.
