01 / The recommendation
Muah AI or Character AI: start with the content fit
Muah AI is our recommendation for adults specifically seeking an AI girlfriend or an adult companion experience with uncensored chat settings and NSFW features. Its browser chatroom combines direct character instructions with available memory controls, photos, voice, video, music, and backup tools.
Character AI, also written Character.AI, supports character storytelling and interaction. Its current community guidelines prohibit pornographic content and nudity. That policy distinction is more useful to an adult companion shopper than a claim about which service has the most convincing first reply. Muah use remains subject to its own terms, feature access, and app restrictions. Source: Character.AI's community guidelines.

03 / Choose the right platform
A Character AI alternative for adult companions
If an adult companion is the reason you are comparing services, read the content policies before investing time in a character. Start in a platform whose permitted use fits your intended conversation. Muah's uncensored AI guide and NSFW AI guide explain its available controls and the restrictions that can still apply.
In Muah, describe the fictional adult character and relationship context in Core Prompt. Specify the writing style you want: perhaps brief dialogue, a slower scene, or a clearer balance of narration and conversation. Keep appearance details in Look-Like so that the two purposes remain easy to revise.
Available cores and automatic fallback can affect responses. Use the core settings guide to understand the controls for your account. A character prompt is useful direction, but it cannot override a service's terms, app restrictions, or every tool's limitations.
A clear reason to choose Muah
For an adult who wants a permitted NSFW companion workflow and direct access to the relevant character settings, Muah is our preferred starting point. That recommendation rests on content fit and documented controls.
04 / Develop the character
What to try after the first conversation
Keep the first test simple. Introduce a fictional setting, ask the companion to respond in the style you defined, and continue for a few turns. If a response writes your actions for you or uses too much narration, refine the relevant Core Prompt instruction. Change one part at a time so the result is easier to assess.
When a scene matters, record its durable facts in the available memory summary controls. The summary is a selective aid to continuity; it is not an exact archive. A working conversation can still lose older details. The Muah memory guide explains how context and compaction differ.
Then test your preferred format. Listen to available generated voice, request a scene photo, or inspect photo-to-video options. Muah also includes Music Generator for original lyrics and a chosen vibe. Review displayed requirements and costs before generating media, and save available data before a major character change.
Character AI also has documented voice, calls, and Imagine images. Choose based on the actual policy and workflow you want rather than assuming those formats are unique to either service.
